Biochem.

Assalamualaikum.

I had my last class with Dr. Tariq today. Well, last class for Biochem I of course. Next semester, I'll be meeting him again, for Biochem II class [insyaAllah~]. Later later on, for Immunology too. biiznillah.

Before we ended the class, we had laboratory test, not that OSPE like some people do. This one is in OMR form. We were not even touched any chemical or drugs. Just pencil and calculator [Amal's calculator] :) *eh, perlu ke mention*

Before we even answered those 21 questions, he gave us some gentle reminder, about being a good MUSLIM student that one day, will be a good MUSLIM scientist, insyaAllah.

Well, what he really meant to say was about 'amanah'.

He said that he FAILED to teach student on how to be a good muslim student that will lead to be a good muslim scientist. Recently, he faced one kind of situation where one whole class members been not honest in counting their marks for quiz.

He said that, if student cannot being honest for quiz mark, which only took for only 1-2 marks higher, then what left for him to expect that students to be a muslim scientist in the future?

My class members remain silent. Though we were not the one who did it, but still, it touched our heart.

Then, he told the class that questions provided were 21 SCQ questions. And why was that 1 question after 20th?

He said that he provided the 21st question to see whether his firm conviction and "prinsip" is right or wrong.

I wonder what would he asked for that type of question. Obliviously not biochem oriented question. He even reminded us that.

The question was about handling apparatus while in lab ; and we have 4 choices of answers provided.

A. because it is our amanah

I don't really remember clearly for the other 3, but I knew that all were about 'too-much-about-being-materialistic' such as "lab apparatus are too expensive" that kind and such.

After 20 minutes, we handed out the OMR sheet. And he asked again what did we answered for question 21.

Most of us answered A lah kan?

And then he asked again whether there were any student that disagree with him. *Siapa berani angkat tangan*

He felt released after that. And he reminded us again to be a good muslim student for days ahead.

And wished us Good Luck for the final exam :)

And I wonder, why are there so many 'best and sentaps reminders' told during end of the semester? T.T

o Allah, bless him and his family. Amin.

P.S : pray for my Biochemistry too! ^_^
